Mitt Romney Net Worth
January 25, 2012 by David Brown
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney was asked by Univision’s Jorge Ramos this afternoon at Miami-Dade College, “Governor, how much money do you have?”
Romney first joked that he would only tell the crowd if Ramos did as well. Of course, Ramos slapped that down by reminding Romney that he was not running for president and Romney was. Romney then gave another hedge of an answer disclosing only what was an already known broad range. Does he think we will be offended if he gives us an exact number? Giving a range just seems disingenuous.
“I actually disclosed in a financial disclosure statement all of the assets which I own, and I think the estimate in there is a pretty wide range that’s been widely reported, and my net worth is within that number,” Romney said.
Ramos followed up and asked whether it was over $150 million, as those forms suggest, to which Romney replied: “It’s between $150 and about $200 some-odd million dollars, I think that’s what the estimates are.”
